The Botanical kit has evolved. Now includes a plastic box, which makes it be protected against water, so it is safe to use with your plants. The botanical kit now has a ATMEGA32U4, so you will not need an FTDI adapter to charge the Sketch, simply connect the USB cable Micro card program as an Arduino Leonardo.

The botanical kit is designed to help in the growth stage of its plants. Using Arduino compatible microcontroller, sensors and actuators, the system will allow your plants grow so much easier.

In this system, sensors are used to collect data that show the conditions under which the plant is located, such as temperature, humidity, light intensity, etc.

If you wish, you can make the Botanical kit I sent messages through wireless communication (Adding Bluetooth, Wifi, GPRS or XBee module) to know the status of your plants. Also, watering plants automatically when thirsty, or in a predetermined time interval. You can also connect the card to a computer via cable or wirelessly and control the system using a GUI software.

Another advantage of the botanical kit is being developed based on Arduino, which means that not only can program the card in the Arduino IDE, but also use any hardware compatible with Arduino.
