    Description:

The first product in the iButton® line of Temperature Sensors is the DS1920. The DS1920 is a digital thermometer that reads the current temperature of the environment or object to which it is attached. Using a 1-Wire® probe, a simple touch of the DS1920 reveals the current temperature of its surroundings from -55°C to 100°C, with 0.5°C increments. The iButton communicates with a processor (PC or microcontroller) using the 1-Wire protocol through a reader (DS9097U, DS9490R, DS9490B). The reader can access iButton resources using simple commands. The 2 bytes of EEPROM included in the iButtin can set alarms or storage data. Just as the other iButtons, the DS1920 has unique identifier number. The 1-Wire interface reduces data line, addressing and power to a single cable. The unique identifier number allows multiple DS1920 units in the same bus, reporting to a same processor. The stainless case makes it fit for industrial applications.
